It may be a sneaky way of getting information but it is better to find out then to have awful photographs produced.
Being comfortable around your event photographer will make things go smother. When you are around them they should make you feel comfortable as well. Later on at the wedding, this will help them to capture the precious photos. You will see the emotion in the wedding pictures if you are nervous around your event photographer.
